Giove was very comfortable, well furnished and well laid out. Because we didn't have a car, the location was perfect, especially because we wanted to rest, eat and walk around. We enjoyed watching life on Piazza Motta, and eating well was no problem....just steps from our door.

We were in such an ideal location in the main square [of Orta San Giulio] with stunning views.
The accommodation was basic but clean and the required facilities were available.

We spent our two-week honeymoon on lovely Lake Orta and can thoroughly recommend both the apartment and the town. Venere was well equipped, comfortable and perfectly located for all that Orta San Giulio has to offer... and the ever-changing view from the lounge windows will long stay in the memory. The town itself is a delight, with many cobbled streets and alleys to explore, plus a lovely walk around the lakeside itself and up to Sacro Monte. There are several bars and restaurants to enjoy.
I don't think we could have chosen a better location both for the immediate views and for the proximity of interesting places to visit - Orta is well placed to visit Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, Macugnaga, the Val Vigezzo, Val Formazza and Cascata del Toce, and the Simplon Pass (to mention just a few of the places we visited). However, much as we enjoyed all these, every day when returning "home" we felt we were staying in the most beautiful location.
William was very helpful answering my various queries when deciding which of the various apartments in the area to choose, and the welcome pack and suggested walks were invaluable for helping us become acquainted with the area.
I will happily recommend Holiday Homes at Lake Orta to anyone wishing to visit the region.

We did indeed have the most wonderful week in the Dolce Vita at Lake Orta. Even in the thunder storms it was quite magical. We can't thank you enough for the information provided in advance - it really helped us make the most of our time there. We loved the little village shop, the local pizzeria, the swimming pool and the walks - although we didn't quite fit in as many as we'd hoped. Only one answer to that - and that's to return another year!

Just to say we had a fantastic week. The appartment was very comfortable and the view amazing. What a surprise we had when the cloud lifted on our first evening and we saw the snow capped mountains for the first time. The weather was better than the forecast we saw for the week suggested. It was our first visit to this part of Italy and I am sure it will not be the last.
