We are delighted to offer Venere, one of two stunning two-bedroom apartments in Piazza Motta, the main square of Orta San Giulio. The apartment enjoys stunning views of the piazza and Island of San Giulio from the very spacious living room. Venere is on the third floor, and sleeps 6 adults in comfort in one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, plus a double sofabed in the living room. The other apartment in the same building is Giove, which has an identical layout and is on the floor below.

Location

Venere is in the main square of Orta San Giulio, so you are right among the cafes, shops and restaurants - and four! superb gelaterias.

Live in the heart of Orta San Giulio

You will find it enchanting to watch the Italian way of life, from your living room and from living in this wonderful village. Ortello beach is just 300 metres walk, and you can take a dip in many other places too the Orta pensinsular. As Holiday Homes at Lake Orta clients, you get a 25% discount on the entrance to Miami beach, at the south end of the lake, just 10 minutes by car. There are many places of interest to visit in the local area, lots of places further afield for day trips, and some great walks (we provide a set of 4 walks in your location pack to get you started, three of these start from your front door!), and many sporting and other local activities are available.

Kitchen area	3.6 metres of floor and wall units. 4 ring gas hob, gas oven. Large fridge with large freezer compartment. Dishwasher. Coffee machine.

Telephone	No (stay instead in Giove if you need a telephone)
Internet	Wireless internet access was installed in April 2013. This is an ADSL service via a fixed line modem-router (download speed rated 140 kbps).
Apartment access	From Piazza Motta. Three flights of stairs.
Car	Car is not necessary for short stays in this apartment, but can still be the cheapest way of doing the airport transfers.
Road access and Parking	You cannot load/unload directly in front of the apartment. Taxis can only bring you within approx 150 metres of the apartment. Park in multi-storey car park 150 metres from the apartment, cost €15 per day.
Children	Suitable for a couple with 2 teenage children.
Wheelchair access	Not possible as there are three flights of stairs to access the apartment.

Getting there

The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, just 24 miles (40 km) from Orta San Giulio. See table of flights to the region. See air, road, and rail transport to Lake Orta.

Parking and vehicle access

You cannot drive into the main square where the apartment is located as it is in the middle of the pedestrian zone. Covered public parking (pay-on-exit) is available 200 metres from your apartment for €10 per day. There are also a few free parking spaces available 300 metres from your apartment (but at times it can be difficult to find free spaces there). If you have heavy luggage without wheels, a hand trolley is provided for your use. Full details of the parking arrangements will be in your location pack.

Taxis picked up from other locations will generally only collect and drop you in the parking area. The local taxi firm Rita and Paolo Bacchetta (details in your location pack) can take you to your front door.

Your stay at Venere

Arrival and departure days are flexible. Minimum stay 3 nights (except if there happens to be a shorter gap). 10% discount per day for stays shorter than a week.

Costs are in pounds sterling, for the whole apartment, fully inclusive of electricity, hot water, gas for cooker, winter heating (reasonable use) when necessary, bed linen, and standard size towels. Ask for quotes in other currencies.

The costs above are for up to 4 people. There is an additional charge of £8 per person per day for extra people (maximum total 6 persons).

Arrivals from 1700 (5pm) to 2000 (8pm). Departures from 0830 (8.30am) to 1200 (12 noon).

Pets are not allowed in this apartment.
