This superb two bedroom apartment looks out onto
Lake Orta from the upper two floors of a period villa located on wooded slopes
in the village of Vacciago. Every room has a splendid
view of the lake and island. A swimming pool (9 metres by 5 metres) in the
well-kept grounds completes this facilities of this lovely apartment. The
apartment sleeps 4.

Casa Miralago is in a superb setting in the village of Vacciago on the east side of Lake Orta. The building dates from the 1920s, and was originally a hotel. It is set in wooded slopes 200 metres above the lake. The shop in the village (five minutes on foot) supplies virtually all provisions. There are many possibilities in the area for sightseeing, walking, and there are several small beaches on Lake Orta.
Being situated at 500 metres altitude, the air is noticeably clean and very pleasant. In the height of summer when it can be rather hot in many parts of Italy, in Vacciago there can be a gentle and welcome breeze of mountain air.
Casa Miralago is two miles (3 km) from the beautiful lakeside village of Orta San Giulio where there are cafes and restaurants of all descriptions. There are several restaurants within a mile of the apartment, and a wide selection of mouth-watering restaurants, pizzerias, and trattorias of all descriptions within 5 miles. We provide a list of recommendations, but you really can't go wrong! And prices are very reasonable too!

Casa Miralago is a beautiful two bedroom apartment, located on the second floor of the building. There is a comfortable living room and open plan kitchen, with views both to the entrance and parking area, and of the lake, with dining table (from where you can see the island!). The master bedroom has a double bed, the bathroom has bath tub with shower attachment, and the washing machine. A spiral staircase leads up to a studio room with two single beds, which has beautiful new (December 2007) wooden flooring (see pictures below). It is fully furnished to a high standard, sleeping four comfortably. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for your vacation rental.

The grounds (fully enclosed with locked gate) and swimming pool are available for the shared use of Casa Miralago and other apartments in the building. The house is away from the main road. Off street parking is inside the grounds.
The apartment is fully equipped with everything necessary for your stay, including linen, blankets, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment, a large fridge with freezer compartment, gas cooker hob, microwave oven, electric kettle, tea towels, table cloths and serviettes, automatic washing machine, vacuum cleaner, electric iron and ironing board. A combined TV and Video player is in the living room, with a wide selection of English language videos for all age groups.

Because of the swimming pool, Casa Miralago is not suitable for families with small children aged less than seven years. Pets are not allowed.
The cost, fully inclusive of electricity, hot water, gas for cooker, towels and linen is as follows:
Shorter stays are accepted for October through April (minimum 5 days for Casa Miralago), see short stays for pricing of stays less than a week.
Arrivals (after 4.30pm) and departures (by 10am) are on a Saturday in the period from the beginning of May to the end of September. Outside of this period arrival days are flexible.
